LONDON (Reuters) -England's Stuart Broad laid down an early marker in what promises to be a seismic summer of test cricket with five wickets against Ireland before Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley crushed the visitors' spirit at sun-baked Lord's on Thursday.

The 36-year-old paceman was supreme, taking the 20th five-wicket haul of his career as Ireland were dismissed for 172.
