Natasha hopes to emulate Li Jane by taking ABF No. 1 spot

PETALING JAYA: Natasha Roslan (pic) wishes to follow in the footsteps of her elite teammate Sin Li Jane by conquering the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) rankings.

The 27-year-old national bowler is ranked fourth in the standings with 196 points, while Li Jane asserted her dominance in the Asian stage with 245 points in first.

Another Malaysian, Gillian Lim, is third with 212 points.

Natasha had a good outing in the Asian Championships by bagging a gold in the doubles with Li Jane and also finished with two silvers in the women’s trios and team of five events.

But Natasha did not win any open tournaments sanctioned by the ABF, hence the fourth place and she hopes to do better in 2025.“I think I bowled well this season, but I did not get No. 1. I will work hard to win a title next year and follow in the footsteps of Li Jane, who was sensational this year,” said Natasha.

“Next year we will have the World Cup, World Championships, SEA Games and Asian Indoor Games.

“These are the major four events that we will focus and I hope to be part of them.

“I am hopeful of retaining my World Championships title.”

At the World Championships in Kuwait last year, Natasha bagged a full set of medals – gold in the women’s singles, silver in the team event and bronze in the All-Events.
