Funding boost for MABA in organising Under-19 Asia Cup event


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Basketball Association (MABA) have received RM275,000 in sports matching grants for organising the FIBA Under-19 Asia Cup Division B event.

The tournament, which started yesterday and will run until Sept 19 at the Karisma Arena in Seremban, will see eight countries competing, with Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Tonga in Group B. Group A comprises India, Iran, Samoa, and Uzbekistan.
