Pearly-Thinaah end long wait for Denmark Open crown

PETALING JAYA: Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah secured their second title of the year after winning the Denmark Open on Sunday (Oct 18).

In the final at the SJF Bank Arena in Odense, Pearly-Thinaah produced a dominant display to beat Japan’s Hinata Suzuki-Nao Yamakita 21-18, 21-11.

The victory was even sweeter as Pearly-Thinaah ended Malaysia’s 18-year wait for the women’s doubles title, with Wong Pei Tty-Chin Eei Hui the last pair to win it in 2008.
