PETALING JAYA: Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik fell short in their bid to repeat their 2023 Denmark Open triumph after losing to Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian-Shohibul Fikri in the final on Sunday (Oct 18).

Buoyed by their semi-final win over world No. 1 Kim Won-ho-Seo Seung-jae, Aaron-Wooi Yik were unable to produce the same level against Fajar-Shohibul and went down 8-21, 11-21 in 32 minutes at the SJF Bank Arena in Odense.

Still, their run to the final was an encouraging one as it was their first tournament together after several months playing with different partners.

Earlier, Pearl Tan-M. Thinaah had bagged the women's doubles title after defeating Hinata Suzuki-Nao Yamakita of Japan 21-18, 21-11.
