PETALING JAYA: There will be no all-Malaysian men’s doubles semi-final at the World Championships after Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani fell to defending champions and world No. 1 Kim Won-ho-Seo Seung-jae in the quarter-finals on Friday (Aug 21).

Sze Fei-Izzuddin were unable to find a way past the Korean pair at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, losing 16-21, 16-21.

The defeat means Won-ho-Seung-jae will face Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik in the semi-finals on Saturday (Aug 22).

Aaron-Wooi Yik had earlier beaten China’s world No. 26 Hu Keyuan-Lin Xiangyi 21-11, 21-17 to secure at least a bronze medal after reaching the last four.
