Zi Yu-Noraqilah fall short in China Masters final

PETALING JAYA: Women’s doubles pair Low Zi Yu-Nuraqilah Maisarah Ramdan fell short in their bid to capture the China Masters title after losing to Japan’s Sumire Nakade-Miyu Takahashi on Sunday (May 17).

In the final at the Baoji City Gymnasium, Zi Yu-Maisarah struggled to match the Japanese pair despite entering the tournament as the fourth seeds.

The Malaysians went down 13-21, 17-21 in 32 minutes.

The pair will now shift their focus to the Malaysian Masters, starting on Tuesday (May 19).
