PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Jimmy Wong-Lai Pei Jing continued their good form by marching into the Korean Masters quarter-finals.

Jimmy-Pei Jing, who have climbed up to No. 37 in the world rankings after only combining in March, were on top form when they crushed Taiwan's Huang Jui-hsuan-Chen Yan-fei 21-10, 21-10 in just 24 minutes at the Wonkwang University Cultural and Sports Center in Iksan yesterday.

The independent pair will next face Thailand's Phuwanat Horbanluekit-Benyapa Aimsaard for a place in the last four.

"Jimmy and I are getting better but we still have a lot to learn. We are looking to progress as far as we can," said Pei Jing.

"I believe every pair we face are strong, so we will just keep focusing on our next match.

Independent men's doubles pair Chia Weijie-Lwi Sheng Hao also made it into the last eight after beating Taiwan's Chang Ko-chi-Po Li-wei 21-17, 21-17 and will play Americans Chen Zhi Yi-Presley Smith next.

All others – Lau Yi Sheng-Lim Tze Jian (men's doubles), Cheng Su Hui-Tan Zhing Yi, Chong Jie Yu-Vanessa Ng (women's doubles) and Loo Bing Kun-Noraqilah Maisarah Ramdan (mixed doubles) – crashed out.
