Wei Chong-Kai Wun storm into Hylo Open semis


PETALING JAYA: Men's doubles shuttlers Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun have stormed into the Hylo Open semi-finals after an impressive win over Indonesia's Fajar Alfian-Shohibul Fikri.

Wei Chong-Kai Wun held their nerves superbly in a nail-biting match to come away with a 26-24, 21-19 win over the in-form Indonesians at the Saarlandhalle in Saarbrucken, Germany on Friday (Oct 31).

Wei Chong-Kai Wun will face another Indonesian pair Sabar Gutama-Moh Reza next for a place in the final.

Sabar-Moh prevented an all-Malaysian semi-final after stunning top seeds Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik 11-21, 21-14, 21-17.
