Tze Yong's ACL surgery in Doha successful

PETALING JAYA: Men's singles shuttler Ng Tze Yong has successfully undergone surgery in Doha to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee.

The operation was performed at Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital on Monday (July 7).

Tze Yong will now go through about four weeks of rehabilitation there before returning to Malaysia to continue his recovery.

"I was informed that Tze Yong's surgery in Aspetar was successful," Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) secretary-general Kenny Goh said on Tuesday (July 8).

"He will continue to undergo around four weeks of rehab there. We hope he can go through this recovery process well."
