Malaysia's Taiwan Open campaign ends as Tang Jie-Wen Tse bow out in semis

PETALING JAYA: The promising run of national mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie and his new partner Chan Wen Tse came to an end in the semi-finals of the Taiwan Open on Saturday (May 10).

Playing at the Taipei Arena, the duo were Malaysia’s sole remaining representatives in the tournament but fell short against Indonesia’s fourth seeds Jafar Hidayatullah-Felisha Pasaribu.

Tang Jie-Wen Tse struggled to find their rhythm throughout the match, with the Indonesians firmly in control from the start.

After just 38 minutes, the Malaysian pair went down 11-21, 15-21, ending the country’s challenge in the tournament.
