Aidil captures first title as a pro shuttler in Sri Lanka

PETALING JAYA: Men's singles shuttler Aidil Sholeh Ali Sadikin captured his first title of the year in the Sri Lanka International Challenge.

World No. 68 Aidil stayed steady to beat India's world No. 210 Pranay Katta 21-19, 21-15 in the final in Colombo on Sunday (March 3).
 
It was his first title since turning pro under the guidance of coach Nova Armada last year.
 
The 25-year-old had won the Indonesian International Challenge in 2023 but he was under the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) stable then.
