Zii Jia out of tournaments in January due to injury

PETALING JAYA: Men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia has withdrawn from the Indian Open from Jan 14-19 and Indonesian Masters (Jan 21-26) due to his ankle injury.

Team LZJ confirmed that Zii Jia would not return to action in January after pulling out of the Malaysian Open at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil earlier.

"Zii Jia's debut for the 2025 season will be further delayed as he continues to recover from the right ankle ligament injury sustained during the World Tour Finals (last month).

"Team LZJ, with the help of medical experts, will continue to monitor his injury to best prepare for the next available tournament to participate," said the statement."
