Pang Ron-Su Yin storm into China Masters final


PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Hoo Pang Ron-Cheng Su Yin smashed into the China Masters final with a stunning win over Hong Kong's world No. 7 Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet.

World No. 23 Pang Ron-Su Yin fought brilliantly to come away with a 21-14, 17-21, 21-19 win in 65 minutes at the Shenzhen Gymnasium on Saturday (Nov 23).

The pair, who combined only last year, have now reached their first World Tour competition final.

It was Pang Ron-Su Yin's second consecutive victory over Chu Man-Ying Suet after also toppling them in the Macau Open in September.

Standing in their way to the title on Sunday (Nov 24) are home favourites and world No. 2 Feng Yanzhe-Huang Dongping.

Yanzhe-Dongping prevented an all-Malaysian final after ousting Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei 21-18, 21-13.
