Joy for Siti Zulaikha as she captures Malaysian International Series title


Women's singles shuttler Siti Zulaikha Azmi captured the Malaysian International Series title in Johor on Sunday (Nov 17).

PETALING JAYA: Women's singles shuttler Siti Zulaikha Azmi emerged champion in the Malaysian International Series.

Zulaikha, who was seeded second, defeated China's unseeded Luo Shengxuan 21-13, 21-16 in the final in Johor on Sunday (Nov 17).

It was the 18-year-old's first ever senior international crown.

Meanwhile, women's doubles pair Cheng Su Hui-Lee Xin Jie could not make it a double joy for Malaysia when they went down 13-21, 18-21 to China's Lin Fangling-Zhou Xinru.
