Olympics bronze medal winner Zii Jia crashes in first round of Japan Open

PETALING JAYA: Professional shuttler Lee Zii Jia lost to youngster Alex Lanier of France in the opening round of the Japan Open.

Zii Jia, who won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games two weeks ago, probably was tired as he went down to the 19-year-old player 18-21, 13-21 in 40 minutes in Yokohama on Tuesday (Aug 20).
