PETALING JAYA: Men’s doubles pair Wan Arif Wan Junaidi-Yap Roy King continued their march in the Spain Masters badminton tournament as they advanced to the final in Madrid on Saturday (April 6).

The unseeded pair, who did not compete in tournaments for the last three months due to a knee injury to Roy King, defeated Christo Popov-Toma Junior Popov of France 21-17, 21-17 in the semi-finals.

The Swiss Open in Basel was their first tournament since the Syed Modi International in India last December. They lost in the second round in Basel last week.

Arif-Roy King will play Sabar Karyaman-Moh Reza Pahlevi of Indonesia in the final later on Sunday.
