Wei Chong-Kai Wun defend Taiwan Open title


PETALING JAYA: National men’s doubles pair Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun defended their title at the Taiwan Open after defeating hosts Lu Ching-yao-Yang Po-han in an energy-sapping final on Sunday (June 25).

The world No. 23 Wei Chong-Kai Wun stunned Taiwan’s and world No. 15 Ching-yao-Po-han 20-22, 21-17, 21-14 in a 71-minute duel at the Tian-mu Arena.

It was their first title of the year after finishing runners-up in the Malaysian Masters last month.
