NATIONAL mixed doubles pair Yap Roy King-Cheng Su Yin settled for silver in the SEA Games in Cambodia on Tuesday (May 16).

The scratch pairing fought their hearts out but narrowly went down 22-20, 8-21, 16-21 to top seeds Rehan Naufal-Lisa Ayu of Indonesia in a thrilling final at the Morodok Techo badminton hall in Phnom Penh.

The defeat meant that the shuttlers failed to meet the one gold medal target set by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).
