Yew Sin-Ee Yi finish as runners-up in Asian Championships

PETALING JAYA: Independent men's doubles pair Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi finished as runners-up in the Asian Championships after going down fighting 21-16, 17-21, 19-21 to India's Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty in a thrilling final in Dubai on Sunday (April 30).

World No. 8 Yew Sin-Ee Yi had a good opportunity to capture the biggest title of their career after winning the first game in commanding fashion and leading 11-5 in the second game.

World No. 6 Satwiksairaj-Chirag though refused to give up and staged a stunning fightback to deny the Malaysian pair.
