PETALING JAYA: It was a day of mixed fortunes for national doubles shuttler Aaron Tai Wei Qin in the National Under-21 Championships.

The 17-year-old Aaron and his partner, Kang Khai Xing, were in their element in the men’s doubles as they defeated Muazzam Danish Hanafi-Mohd Zulhairi Sahimi 24-22, 21-17 in the quarter-finals before outplaying Lye Jun Yew-Mohd Zul Aqil Mohd Ridzuan 21-15, 21-17 in the semi-finals yesterday.
