PETALING JAYA: Debutant Ng Tze Yong got off to a brilliant start in the World Championships by knocking out Malaysian Masters champion Chico Aura of Indonesia in the first round of the men's singles event.

The 22-year-old Tze Yong, who made the cut for the major event after the withdrawal of another player, defeated Chico in a convincing style after pulling off a 21-16, 21-10 win at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo on Monday (Aug 22).
