PETALING JAYA: National mixed doubles shuttler Shevon Lai Jemie has fired back at her critics after she and her partner Goh Soon Huat sensationally dumped Thailand’s world No. 1 Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Sapsiree Taerattanachai out of the Indonesian Open in the first round round yesterday.

Soon Huat-Shevon fought tooth and nail to narrowly oust the reigning world champions 21-17, 7-21, 22-20 in 69 minutes at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta in what was their best display in a while.
