Malaysia out to overcome Japan and emerge as group winners

Clash of titans: Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia will play Japan’s Kento Momota in the singles tie of the Sudirman Cup.

PETALING JAYA: As difficult as it might seem, Malaysia will head into tomorrow’s final Group D fixture of the Sudirman Cup against favourites Japan with just one goal – to emerge as group winners.

It’s certainly a tall order for Lee Zii Jia and teammates to go up against the second seeds who boast strength in depth in every department, especially in the women’s events.
