Zii Jia bags badminton singles gold at SEA Games


MANILA: National top men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia (pic) has made it a double joy for Malaysia when he won the men's singles competition for the second gold of the day in badminton at the SEA Games.

Zii Jia was in his element to beat Loh Kean Yew of Singapore 21-18,21-18 to become only the fifth Malaysian winner in Games history after Tan Aik Huang, Punch Gunalan, Roslin Hashim and Chong Wei Feng.

Malaysia now has 46 gold medals at the SEA Games.
