PETALING JAYA: Independent shuttler Liew Daren is still one to watch out for, after he bested China's legend Lin Dan in the first round of the Korean Open in Incheon on Wednesday (Sept 25).
The 32-year-old took out the two-time Olympic champion 21-19,21-14 to earn his place in the second round.
It was Daren's first win against Lin Dan, having lost to him in their previous two meetings.
"It's definitely exciting to get this win against Lin Dan and I'm very happy, but as much as I'd like to celebrate, I have to focus on my next match," he said.
