PETALING JAYA: Malaysia secured their spot in the quarter-finals after beating Macau 5-0 in their opening match of the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships in Hong Kong.

The team comprised of second stringers played to expectations by not dropping a single game in their Group D match yesterday.
