PETALING JAYA: Chooi Kah Ming-Low Juan Shen nailed their third career title – their first as an independent pair – after winning the Laos International Series in Vientiane.
The world No. 50 ended their three-year title drought by defeating compatriots Low Hang Yee-Ng Eng Cheong 18-21, 21-18, 21-14 in the final yesterday.
Kah Ming-Juan Shen, who quit the national team last August, previously bagged two titles in 2016 (Indonesian International Challenge and Malaysian International Challenge).
For world No. 169 Hang Yee-Eng Cheong, it’s still a commendable show for the youngsters as they justified their selection for the Asian Mixed Team Championships in Hong Kong next month.
