Taiwan's terrific Tien-chen spoiled an all-Indonesian singles final in Asiad

Well done Chen. File photo of the Taiwanese celebrating a win during the SS Purple League last year.

TAIWAN’s Chou Tien-chen broke the home fans’ hearts when he stopped the gallant run of Anthony Ginting to deny an all-Indonesian men’s singles final at the Asian Games.

The 28-year-old Tien-chen came from behind to triumph 16-21, 23-21, 21-17 in a 82-minute pulsating semi-finals to put himself on the brink of his biggest career win at the Istora Gelora Bung Karno yesterday.
