PETALING JAYA: Malaysia are as good as assured of a place in the Thomas Cup Finals in Bangkok, Thailand, from May 20-27 based on the team’s world ranking.

But Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) president Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria wants the men’s side to qualify on merit.
