THERE is no doubt that Thailand’s young women’s singles star Ratchanok Intanon is currently the darling of world badminton.
The 19-year-old won even more fans on Thursday, showing great fighting qualities as she tolerated pain on her leg to make a sensational comeback to beat Japan’s Sayaka Takahashi 21-19, 9-21, 21-19 and steer Thailand into their first semi-finals in the Sudirman Cup. Thailand eventually won 3-1.
