KUALA LUMPUR: From a greenhorn to the boss of the National Sports Council (NSC), Jefri Ngadirin has come a long way.

Three decades of moving up the ranks and learning the ropes under different heads at the NSC, the 52-year-old Jefri is now all excited to begin his challenging reign as the 10th director-general of the country’s sports arm.
