5,000 join in the Malaysia day night half marathon


PETALING JAYA: An estimated 5,000 participants showed up for the Matrix Malaysia Day Night Half Marathon held over the weekend at d'Tempat Country Club, Bandar Sri Sendayan.

This groundbreaking event, organised in collaboration with Seremban City Council and property developer Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad, was held to celebrate Malaysia Day under the stars.

"This marathon is more than just a race, it's a celebration of our nation's unity, diversity, and shared spirit," said Chai Keng Wai, the chief executive officer of Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad.

"We are excited to bring this unique event to Negri Sembilan with Seremban City Council for the first time and we look forward to seeing our community come together to honour Malaysia Day in such ameaningful way."

For the night marathon, runners took part in various categories, including the demanding 21.1km half

marathon.

After the run, participants and spectators were treated to a concert, featuring performances by Dolla, DJ Hoozy, Emcee Carl, Jestinna Kuan, and Danny Lee.
