Gold is little consolation for high jumper Jyh Yunn

KUAN Jyh Yunn (pic) won the high jump gold medal, and then had to be consoled by his coach. The Perakian was far from happy.

With former national jumper Lee Hup Wei watching, Jyh Yunn had wanted to go for the SEA Games qualification mark in the Malaysia Games (Sukma). He crossed 2.12m to assure himself of gold, as his next best opponent Dyllon Thye of the Federal Territories could only clear 2.04m at the Sarawal Stadium in Petra Jaya.
