Strongman Jonah shatters national record in shot putt again

Super Sarawakian: Jonah hits it right again.

PETALING JAYA: Shot putter Jonah Chang Rigan has smashed the national record again!

The Sarawakian was in his element during the Pahang Open athletics competition at the Darul Makmur Stadium when he hurled a distance of 18.46m, to break the previous national mark of 17.67m, which he set last year at the Mokpo International Championships in South Korea.

The 21-year-old had earlier broken the national record with 18.09m, but in his last throw, he gave his all to break the mark again to prove that he is the undisputed national number one for the shot putt event.
