MANCHESTER, England (Reuters) - Charlotte Purdue, Calli Hauger-Thackery and Phil Sesemann will make their Olympic marathon debuts in Paris after dipping under the qualifying standards to earn berths on the British team.

Purdue and Hauger-Thackery both clocked two hours, 22 minutes and 17 seconds in separate marathons in late-2023 to crush the World Athletics qualifying standard by over four minutes.
