PETALING JAYA: As he zoomed past the finish line, Mohd Azeem Fahmi screamed – and this time, it was for sheer joy and not anguish.

The 18-year-old phenom from Perak had not only won his heat in the World Junior Championships in Cali, Colombia, but also created a shockwave by smashing the six-year-old 100m national record.
