THE Education Ministry should embed legal literacy within the curriculum, particularly under Pendidikan Moral and Islamic Studies, to educate students about consent, respect and the severe penalties under the Penal Code for sexual crimes.
Co-curricular activities, such as organising talks with the Royal Malaysia Police and NGOs, can complement this measure.
