Stop the weaponisation of police reports to suppress dissent


IN Malaysia, the freedoms of expression, peaceful assembly, and association enshrined in Article 10(1) of the Federal Constitution are being infringed by the weaponisation of police reports and the institution of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM). 

Project  Stability and Accountability for Malaysia (Projek Sama) calls upon Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to effect a guideline that informs the police when and when not to open a police investigation against “offensive” or “sensitive” expressions and actions.
