Puspakom must tackle tyre rental issues and update regulations


A RECENT article by The Star revealed concerns regarding the practice of tyre rentals among lorry owners, highlighting the outdated regulations imposed by Puspakom.

According to Alvin Loke, treasurer of the Negeri Sembilan Lorry Operators’ Association, lorry owners are forced to rent tubed tyres for roadworthiness inspections, despite the fact that modern lorries are typically fitted with tubeless tyres, which are safer, more durable, and cost-effective.
