Budget 2025: A step in the right direction for Malaysia’s senior citizens

BUDGET 2025 has done more for the older Malaysian than Budget 2024.

The biggest news is the RM1bil allocation for the welfare of older adults. The allocations which make up this total include the older persons’ allowance (RM910mil, increased from RM904.8mil in 2024), older persons’ activity centres (RM10.8mil, up from RM8.25mil), and Rumah Sri Kenangan and day care (RM23.5mil).
