Support for Tobacco Bill is vital

THE Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS) urges the honourable Members of Parliament to pass the Control of Smoking Product for Public Health Bill 2023, inclusive of the crucial “generational end game” (GEG) provision, and enact stringent regulations to combat the alarming rise in nicotine and drug abuse in vaping products.

We firmly believe that the Bill, along with the GEG provision, is vital in safeguarding the health of all Malaysians now and in the future. It will empower us to protect vulnerable individuals from falling prey to addiction and its devastating consequences.
