No room for complacency in era of pandemia

THE end of global wars and conflict is rarely celebratory in appearance, but a sombre and almost forgettable event as life gradually returns to normal.

Expectedly, the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, marked by the recent WHO declaration of cessation of public emergency status, largely failed to spark much interest in the public sphere, now burdened with concerns of rising cost of living, economic turmoil ahead and more recently, a looming water crisis.
