IN Malaysia, it is estimated that 1.2% of the country’s population suffers from vision impairment.
The World Health Organisation estimates that at least 2.2 billion people globally have a near or distance vision impairment (as at October 2022). It adds that at least one billion of these cases could have been avoided or are yet to be dealt with.
