Interim teachers need help

WE, the interim teachers (DC41) contracted by the Education Ministry under the leadership of Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin, are appalled by the contents of the recent circular we have attained from the Education Service Commission.

In the circular, it was stated that during the recent one-off hiring process of DG41 teachers for permanent positions, many candidates were rejected due to technicalities. It is to be noted that our duties over the past three years, albeit on an interim basis, were to fulfil the role of the education system in shaping the minds and hearts of our students in order to cultivate a better Malaysia. In short, our duties were no different from those of permanent teachers.
