According to the 2020 Population and Housing Census report, people aged 65 years and above now make up 6.8% or 2.2 million of Malaysia’s 32.4 million population compared with 5% or 1.4 million in 2010.

Will this growing number lead to severe demands on the country’s healthcare system?
