Aim for long-term solution to help orang asli

The second barricade built by 200 strong orang asli of the Temiar along the 70km stretch at Kampung Bering and Pos Pasik on Sunday in the Balah forest reserve, Gua Musang to increase their stranglehold on the area to stop loggers from bringing out logs

I REFER to the comment piece “At loggerheads over rival claims” (The Star, Oct 5).

It is very encouraging and heart-warming to note that the Kelantan state government has agreed to meet the orang asli groups to resolve the standoff between them and the loggers.
