Good posting but marred by red remark

I REFER to your article “Muslim nanny goes beyond race” (Sunday Star, Sept 20). It was very heart-warming and I encourage writers to write more such stories because they promote unity and prosperity for all Malaysians. Stories like this can also make a person see his or her own values.

In my family, there were two occasions when I was a young boy where my mother had to hire a Chinese lady to cook and wash for us. My eldest brother and sister-in-law also hired an elderly Chinese woman to mind their first boy. These women were like jewels in our families and they played a significant role in our bonding. We loved them and looked after them just like we did all our family members.
