Appointments of former greats can undo damage in diving

THERE should be a new technical director in place for the national diving set-up before the divers leave for the Hangzhou Asian Games assignment end of next month.

The National Sports Council (NSC), alarmed by the noticeable dip in standards of the diving team in the last few years, have agreed to appoint two key positions – technical director and high performance manager – in a bid to stop the rot.
