ONE of the first things I did when I became a Member of Parliament in 2013 was to read Lim Kit Siang's book Time Bombs in Malaysia: Problems of Nation-building in Malaysia.
The book was a compilation of his debate speeches in Parliament throughout the 1970s, following a dark 21-month period Parliament was suspended after the May 13, 1969 incident.
